Common Core Standards
Here is a list of Common Core Standards that are met by each lesson in Teaching for EcoJustice. Click on the lesson number below to go to the standards for that lesson.
Without delving into any commentary on Common Core and related standards, I offer this list knowing that the standards-based environment of many school systems makes using new materials in the classroom a challenge. Each lesson in this book meets a number of Common Core and other standards, and I hope this will help make it easy for teachers to incorporate them into school systems that require lessons to be linked to these standards.
Note that additional activities could easily be added to these lessons that would allow them to meet other standards, in addition to those listed here. In your own practice, please feel free to add assignments and the standards that accompany them.
